Hello there! Come, sit. Have some chai.
I really enjoyed doing this painting. It's just black on the beautiful off-white paper I'd mentioned in my last post.
I diluted the black to various degrees to bring out the highlights on his hat, folds of white his shirt, and the highlights on his trousers.
I think of him as My Jazz Man; a saxophone player taking a smoke break. Between sets.
Though he could just as easily be an Italian mafia man between activities of a nature considerably less musical.
P.S: Do excuse the lack of brightness. I will try to get a better picture.
Though darkness becomes him. Don't you think?
